How it works
Stuff generally works on electricity. This may be:
- Batteries
- Mains
- Solar cells.
How to fix it
Provided you have a screwdriver you can usually fix your stuff by taking it apart and fixing whatever is wrong inside.
If your stuff has been trodden on by an elephant, it may, regrettably, be beyond repair. Fortunately this doesn't often happen.
First, check the battery or the fuse.
Now look for any obvious damage.
Take out all the screws you can see. Look harder, and take out the 3 screws you didn't see at first.
It should now come apart. If not, take out the screw you still didn't see. Alternatively, try a hammer.
