Repair Café is | [https://www.repaircafe.org/ Repair Café International] is an organisation based in Amsterdam and run by Martine Postma, who developed the original concept for Repair Café events and sparked the community repair movement. Repair Cafés are events at which volunteers help members of the public repair their electrical, electronic, mechanical and clothing items. Since the first ever repair café in 2009, Repair Café International now represents a global grassroots movement promoting repair through community events. It has much in common with [[Glossary:Restart Project|The Restart Project]] but is a separate organisation with slightly different emphasis and aims. |

Since the first ever repair café in 2009, Repair Café International now represents a global grassroots movement promoting repair through community events. It has much in common with The Restart Project but is a separate organisation with slightly different emphasis and aims.
