SOGEA or Single Order Generic Ethernet Access is essentially the same as a FTTC Internet connection except that no old-fashioned anlogue telephone service is delivered over the copper segment from the street cabinet to the customer premises. This makes it cheaper. Voice calls can still be made, but they are carried digitally over the broadband connection.
