Glossary:Ribbon cable
Ribbon cables are cables with the conductors laid side by side to form a ribbon, rather than bound together in a bunch. The conductors may be individual insulated wires or may be copper tracks like those on a printed circuit board, laid on a fexible substrate. They are nomally used in conjunction with special connectors.
