An SoC or System-on-Chip is a complex [[Glossary:Integrated Circuit|integrated circuit]] comprised of a number of standard building blocks making up a complete self-contained system on a single silicon chip. These building blocks would typically include one or more [[Glossary:CPU|CPU]] cores, [[Glossary:RAM|RAM]], [[Glossary:ROM|ROM]] and peripheral and interface blocks, perhaps including blocks implementing a display interface, WiFi or Bluetooth.

An SoC or System-on-Chip is a complex integrated circuit comprised of a number of standard building blocks making up a complete self-contained system on a single silicon chip. These building blocks would typically include one or more CPU cores, RAM, ROM and peripheral and interface blocks, perhaps including blocks implementing a display interface, WiFi or Bluetooth.
