Glossary:USB

USB or Universal Serial Bus is a method of connecting a wide range of peripheral devices to a computer, such as keyboards and mice, storage devices and many more, and is also frequently used simply to provide power for recharging smartphones, media players and cameras etc. Several revisions of the standard from USB 1.0 to USB 4 have successively increased its data transfer capability. There are several different types of USB connector in addition to the non-reversible rectangular one fitted to the majority of computers and memory sticks. See USB Connectors in the Wiki.
