Glossary:TRF
A TRF or Tuned Radio Frequency radio receiver is one in which the signal from the aerial is tuned and amplified at its incoming frequency before demodulation to recover the audio (or other) transmitted material. If the radio is to be tunable, this means that several tuned circuits have to be tuned in step, a problem overcome in the superhet radio design.
