Glossary:Upcycling
Upcycling is the practice of taking disused or faulty items or their major components and reusing them in a different way to produce something of greater artistic or environmental value, at the same time saving them from recycling or landfill. However, convincing examples are hard to find, particularly at scale. The traditional Japanese art of kintsugi is an example of upcycling.
