Glossary:WEEE
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment or WEEE Directive obligates producers and distributors of electrical equipment placed on the market after 2005 to make provision for its end of life collection and recycling. It is applicable in the UK and the EU. It has been criticised for its disregard for reuse or repair as a means of reducing e-waste.
