Understanding the Technology: "solid-state drives, as the name implies, have no mechanical parts" - err, it's not as though hard drives store data in a liquid or gaseous form! A hard drive, as the name implies, is equally solid state!
I've clarified this as follows: 'Hard disks drives as the name implies are mechanical as they have rotating disks, while solid-state drives have no mechanical moving parts. ' -Panda.
